KC CHU

Elder - Church Building Expansion (CBE)

Elder KC Chu was born in Zhejiang, China and raised in Taiwan. He came to know Christ when he was a graduate student. After his baptism at CBCGB in December, 1971, he became a church member in CBCGB and served the Lord ever since. KC served in various ministries in CBCGB such as Choir, Adult Sunday School, Children Sunday School, fellowships, Stewardship committee, Treasurer, Building committee, Board of Deacons, Board of Elders, etc. He was elected as a Deacon in 1976 and was installed by Pastor Stephen Chiu in January 1977. He is currently serving in Adult Sunday School and Church Building Expansion Team.

KC believes that the church is the household of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. According to Ephesians 4:12 a church must be able to “prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”. It is through the Sunday sermons, Sunday school teaching, fellowship of the believers and their participation in church ministries that God’s people can “reach the unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13). KC and Teresa have raised two daughters; Josephine and Melissa. Both were married and currently attending church in the area they live.
